STUDENT COUNCIL

There are 3 Student Council Committees: Planning, Business, and Outreach.
Students in Grades 4-8 are allowed to join any (or all) of the committees.

The Planning Committee plans events and programs for all grade levels in the school. They meet every other Tuesday from 3-4 p.m. Miss Michaela Dwyer is the Planning Committee moderator.

Last year, the Planning Committee ran:

• Halloween Party for Grades 1-5
• Advent Party for Preschool and Kindergarten
• Reading Camp-In for all grades
• Pennies for Patients Campaign (We raised $2000+ for Leukemia patients!)
• Easter Egg Hunt for grades K-8
• Middle School Dance

So far this year, the Planning Committee has planned a Trick or Treating Halloween Party for Grades 1-5 and an Advent Party as well as a special event involving the other Warwick Catholic Schools.

The Business Committee runs the school store and a lemonade stand in the spring. They will be meeting every other (alternate) Tuesday from 3-4 p.m. Miss Colleen Beirne is the Business Committee moderator.

The Outreach Committee develops ideas and programs designed to reach out to the community and help others. They are responsible for selling Candy Cane Grams at Christmas and Lucky Grams around St Patrick's Day. They use the money generated by these sales for charitable causes, such as donations to the Breast Cancer Foundation. At present, they are running a ‘Have A Heart, Fill The Cart’ campaign. The Outreach Committee members also serve as ambassadors for the school. The Outreach Committee moderators are Mrs. Anne Robinson and Miss Meghan Kane. This committee meets on Monday mornings before school.
