ENROLLMENT Approximately 220 students in Preschool through Grade Eight comprise the student body of St. Peter School. Most students come from the Warwick area, although we do have students from South County and the Greater Providence area. CURRICULUM An integrated, thematic approach is at the heart of the curriculum of St. Peter School. The program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in Religious Studies as well as core academics. Since its founding in 1959, St. Peter School has been committed to quality Catholic education. Students are challenged to develop their capabilities in a nurturing, holistic and supportive environment. MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM St. Peter School is proud of its “School within a School” model. It is comprised of a team of dedicated educators who support and understand the development of the Middle School student. The rigorous curriculum is designed to motivate students to achieve their personal best. Our Middle School Program prepares students for life after St. Peter School. We are proud of the overwhelming number of eighth graders that are accepted to their first choice high school. FACULTY The heart of St. Peter School is its faculty. The faculty is comprised of fifteen teachers and teacher-aides, a media specialist, an office manager and maintenance staff. Most faculty members hold lifetime certification and several hold Masters degrees. This dedicated group of individuals works together for the betterment of all students. All teachers are involved in professional development, maintaining or obtaining Rhode Island certification and maintaining or obtaining Religion certification through Providence College and the Diocese of Providence. All faculty and staff work to uphold the mission of the school: to provide its students with a Catholic education that fosters spiritual, academic, and social growth within an atmosphere of mutual respect. PARENT GUILD Our Parent Guild is an active committee of dedicated parents who work diligently to plan activities and events for St. Peter School families. Some events that they plan to include our Annual Harvest Festival, Golf Tournament, Mother-Son Night, Father-Son Outing, Mother-Daughter Brunch, Father-Daughter Dance, Christmas Fun Day and Twenty-Five Week Club. |
