Wednesday, 8/25/10: New Family Orientation & Ice Cream Social The children of St. Peter School are conducting an experiment with the oceans and tides...Their very own message in a bottle. The first bottle was thrown at noon on May 7, 2009 at Latitude 35 degrees 00.0 minutes South and Longitude 18 degrees 22.9 minutes East, exactly 40 miles south of the Cape of Good Hope, South Africa. This is where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. The second bottle was thrown just passing over the equator at Latitude 00-00.00 and Longitude 041-38.8 West, off the North coast of Brazil, only a couple hundred miles from the entrance to the Amazon river. Hopefully, the currents will carry the bottles ashore somewhere, where someone, someday will find them! Here are some pictures...
St. Peter School celebrates Reading Week... Pictured are some special guests who visited the first grade during Reading Week... Guests included Sr. Mary Angelus, Mayor Scott Avedisian, Warwick City Councilman Steve Colantuono, Warwick Beacon Editor John Howell, and Magistrate Angela Paulis. Grade 1 St. Michael Service Project... The First Grade class of St. Peter School presented a letter to the Warwick Police Officers to thank then for all they do for the community and to let them know that they are in their prayers to their patron, Saint Michael the Archangel.
